THE SITUATION
Jarden Wealth is one of New Zealand's most established investment groups, operating across FICC, Institutional, Jarden Direct and Wealth Management.
As the business grew, each division produced investor and client communications independently, resulting in structural inconsistency across more than 100 documents, varying approaches to information hierarchy, and a reporting architecture that had evolved without formal governance.
The challenge was not to refresh the visual identity. It was to establish the underlying standard that would make every document, regardless of which division produced it, immediately recognisable as coming from the same institution.
THE ENGAGEMENT
Ästhetik partnered with Jarden over four years to build and maintain a unified communications infrastructure across the group. The first phase established a governing architecture, defining what information appeared in each document type, in what sequence, at what level of detail for each audience. This became the standard that every subsequent document was built within.
From that foundation we developed Jarden's flagship Investment Outlook publication. A quarterly reporting cycle with a repeatable layout system, defined data hierarchy and consistent language governance. A publication that communicates market insight with clarity, without requiring reinvention each issue.
Across the engagement, the system was applied to the firm's broader document ecosystem, reducing structural drift between divisions, simplifying compliance updates and ensuring performance and insights were expressed with consistent institutional weight.
THE OUTCOME
Today, Jarden operates within a scalable communications infrastructure designed to hold under growth, regulatory scrutiny and cross-division complexity. The Investment Outlook runs to a governed standard each quarter. New team members can produce documents within a governed system.
